The projects of VASD vary from radical renovations and development for the private market, companies, foundations and healthcare practices to complete retail and restaurant concepts, including house styles. The company was founded in 1997 and is led by a creative team of two designers: Branko Vlamings and Anne van Abkoude.

As architect, interior architect and joiner is Branko Vlamings an expert in spaces. Anne van Abkoude studied Painting at the Rietveld Academy, later focusing on colour concepts, graphic design and product design. This combination of different disciplines within one team brings surprising solutions. The approach is personal, thorough and out of the ordinary; and the results are highly innovative.

Dat gaat veel verder dan opruimen en inrichten: we combineren architectuur en interieurarchitectuur met alles wat nodig is om een aangename omgeving te creëren voor de gebruiker. Bouwkundige ingrepen worden versterkt met productontwerp, grafische vormgeving en beeldende kunst. 

VASD bouwt en verbouwt, ordent en optimaliseert, puzzelt net zolang tot er een heldere plattegrond ontstaat. Indeling en inrichting worden vanzelfsprekend, de rust in het gebouw keert terug. We spelen met licht en doorzicht en laten ruimtes groter lijken dan ze zijn. Op maat gemaakte meubels, opvallende verlichtingsobjecten en grafische accenten maken de ruimtelijke ervaring af.

This goes beyond straightforward refurbishment: we combine architecture and interior architecture with whatever it takes to create a pleasant environment for the user. Architectural modifications are further enhanced by product design, graphic design and art. 
 
 VASD creates and renovates, remodels and maximises, piecing together the puzzle until the right combination emerges into a clear floor plan. Layout and decor come together naturally and the inner logic of a building is restored. We play with light and perspective. By creating open views we make spaces seem bigger than they are. Custom-made furniture, striking lighting design and graphic accents complete the spatial experience.
